OrthoXel Welcome Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Colm Kelleher and Mayor of Cork County, Cllr Gillian Coughlan to new offices.

OrthoXel were delighted to welcome Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Colm Kelleher and Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Gillian Coughlan to the new office at Cork Business and Technology Park on May 24th. During a tour of the facility, both the Lord Mayor and Mayor met with company founders and some of the team and chatted about the devices, current activities and company ambitions for the future.

The OrthoXel team has developed a new standard of care for lower extremity fracture repair with surgeon-designed trauma devices and an innovative approach to product design, development and clinical evaluation.

OrthoXel were previously based in the Rubicon Center and received support from MTU, UCC, CUH, Cork LEO, Enterprise Ireland and many others as the company built the foundation and developed initial products. The support received and the relationships built along the way were essential to get OrthoXel off the ground.

OrthoXel is now quickly transitioning from technology development to commercialization. In the past six months, the team in Cork has doubled in size, partnerships with a number of US distributors have been established, alongside launching in the US market and moving into a larger facility in Cork which will facilitate further company growth. OrthoXel has ambitious plans for the future with a range of new products in the pipeline and ongoing activity to expand the US commercial footprint.
