Apex Tibial Nails – Live Surgical Demonstration at “The Summit 2025”

OrthoXel is attending World Surgery Tour’s “The Summit” live in Cologne this May 14th – 15th. This event spotlights next-gen innovation within lower extremity fracture fixation and promises exciting live surgical demonstrations featuring two different techniques. This live battle will highlight and compare the usage differences and benefits between intermedullary nailing and external fixators performed on cadaveric specimens with clinically relevant fractures.
Michael Weaver MD, is a clinical instructor of orthopaedic surgery at Harvard Medical School and Distinguished Chair in Orthopaedic Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. He will be partnering with OrthoXel to demonstrate the real-world benefits of the Apex Tibial Nailing System. The Apex Tibial Nailing System featuring controlled axial micromotion technology and enhanced torsional stability, is designed to promote fracture healing and improve patient outcomes. OrthoXel completed a clinical study comparing the Apex Tibial Nail with micromotion fixation to standard static locking methods. The study’s key results include:
Participants at the event will witness a live surgical demonstration and comparison of these two innovative technologies. They will gain firsthand insight into the clinical benefits of the Apex intramedullary device and learn how micromotion technology supports fracture healing and enhances patient outcomes.
