31st of May 2024

We are thrilled to announce that we will be exhibiting at the Philadelphia Orthopaedic Trauma Symposium (POTS) at Temple University on June 7th and the Indiana University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Conference on June 14th in Indianapolis. These events present invaluable opportunities for us to connect with professionals in the orthopaedic field and showcase our innovative Apex Micromotion Technology, along with our latest product development, the Vertex Hip Fracture Nail, which recently received FDA 510(k) clearance.

Philadelphia Orthopaedic Trauma Symposium 2024

OrthoXel is excited to return to the Philadelphia Orthopaedic Trauma Symposium (co-chaired by Saqib Rehman, MD, MBA & Jack Kazanjian, DO) held at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University Medical Education & Research Building on June 7th 2024 (Register & View Program Here). This symposium is a significant gathering for practicing orthopaedic surgeons, residents, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants involved in orthopaedic trauma care.

It also provides the chance for orthopaedic medical device companies to showcase products specific to various areas within fracture fixation. The event promises a dynamic environment for networking and sharing advancements in trauma management.

Indiana University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Conference 2024

On June 14th, we will attend the 47th Annual Garceau-Wray Lectureship at the NCAA Hall of Champions, Walter Byers Auditorium in Indianapolis, Indiana. This conference will feature the latest research from orthopaedic residents, fellows, and faculty, as well as case presentations with esteemed guest lecturer Todd J. Albert, MD from the Hospital for Special Surgery. We are honoured to be part of this distinguished event and look forward to engaging with the orthopaedic community. Find out more here.

Spotlight: Meet our U.S. Representatives

Our team is eager to connect with you, share knowledge, and forge new partnerships that drive innovation in the orthopaedic trauma field. They will be on hand in Philadelphia and Indianapolis to answer your questions and provide insights to our innovative technology. Both Michael and Greg have vast experience in the orthopaedic industry and look forward to meeting you there.

Michael Murphy, U.S. Business Development & Sales Manager

Michael Murphy has been instrumental in OrthoXel’s commercial growth over in the U.S. He shared his thoughts on the company’s innovative products and how they are working towards the future of fracture fixation:

“I’m particularly excited by the prospect of helping patients who can least afford to have their lives upended by the devastating consequences of a tibia or femur fracture. If we can help those patients heal faster and completely, avoiding secondary surgery and lengthy recovery times, they can get their lives back. I believe that’s a clear goal and the definition of success.”

As he gets ready to meet and network with surgeons at upcoming events, Michael shared his experiences with the exhibits:

“I enjoy meeting surgeons and learning about them and their practices to see if we can be of service. OrthoXel’s Apex IM nails with controlled axial micromotion have shown promising early clinical results, suggesting the potential to set a new ‘standard of care’ for long bone fracture treatment, meaningfully improving the lives of both patients and providers. I’m excited by that prospect and invite surgeons to stop by the OrthoXel booth to introduce themselves and learn more.”

Greg West, U.S. Director of Clinical Training

Greg plays a significant role within OrthoXel and leads the product training sessions for trauma sales reps over in the U.S. He shared his enthusiasm for OrthoXel’s cutting-edge technology:

Greg West Orthoxel

“I have been in Orthopaedics for over 35 years, this is truly one of the most innovative and exciting products I have seen in a long time! It is a procedure that most every Orthopaedic Surgeon does, but with minimal instrument change. We give surgeons and their patients better outcomes, when compared to other Tibial and Femoral nails.

Who doesn’t want to heal faster? This product allows most all patients, regardless of their individual health challenges, a chance to heal nearly 20 percent faster! That is close to a month faster healing when using the OrthoXel Apex tibial and femoral nails, as opposed to using many traditional nail options.”
